Another way we can check for moisture is by touching the materials to check if they feel wet. Sometimes you cannot see or feel the moisture but you can smell it. When water damage sits for too long, it begins to smell musty and can cause mold to grow. We can rely on our senses to help us find the water damage in our home. Our team members also have special equipment such as moisture meters that can detect water levels in the walls.
