What's that smell?

When dealing with mold, the sense that is heightened the most is our sense of smell. We can almost always smell mold before we ever even see it. In this case, the musty odor was coming from the garage. Our project manager use their moisture meter to detect the water in the drywall of the water heater stand. The water heater was removed and temporarily set while our guys cleaned the mold and water damage out of the stand. When finished the stand was repaired and the water heater was placed back on. Water heater leaks are common so it's a good idea to check your own frequently.
